My Challenge - by Kathy Najimy

Chip in $5 or more by July 20 and I'll match every dollar up to $5,000! Every dollar we raise goes towards the prototype of the 21st Century Horseless Carriage - an electric vintage car that's not only adorable and fun, but will get the poor horses off the mean streets of NYC. I'm putting my money where my heart is and I hope you will, too.

My friends and fellow animal lovers, Anjelica Huston, Chelsea Handler, Lea Michele, Kristin Chenoweth, Kirstie Alley, Kristen Johnston, Debra Messing and Gloria Steinem all support the horses and NYCLASS' efforts to stop the archaic carriage horse rides -- and we applaud you for caring. 

I LOVE NY! But what breaks my heart every day, is seeing the poor horses hauling heavy carriages, tromping for hours on hard pavement, through dangerous, noxious, loud city traffic. There have been at least 12 accidents in the past year! 

My husband, Dan Finnerty, (The Dan Band) reminds us: "You may think it's romantic to take your lady on a carriage ride, but it's not 1893 and if you need a tired, overworked horse to be romantic, you're already screwed." 

This is one problem we can actually solve together. So, chip in before July 20, and I'll match every dollar up to $5,000. 

There is an end in sight -- within our grasp. Let's finally put an end to this ridiculous, inhumane, outdated carriage horse industry, and stay proud of one of the best damn cities in the world! Please donate now for the horses.
